Consultations.
Dr Toncic does not
visit the UK very
often for
consultations.
You can travel
to Zagreb for a
consultation at any
time, but most
patients prefer to
send photographs by
email. Martina will let you know when to expect Dr Toncic's
telephone call and he will ring with his opinion. His English is
very good.
If you are still
undecided about having
surgery, it is
possible to reserve
your procedure time
with Dr Toncic and
arrange your trip with
an open flight ticket.
If after your
consultation you
decide not to go
ahead, then return to
the
UK

Flights. Direct
flights to Zagreb from
Heathrow London can be
obtained from Croatia
Airlines. Please
see the link to
flights. From
other airports in the
UK, it is necessary to
change flights.
Wizz Air now fly
to Zagreb from Luton.
The clinic are
able to arrange flights.
Paying for
surgery: A
deposit of 500 euros is required to
reserve your place for
surgery. If you are
having the free flights from London - Luton, the deposit needs to be paid
before the flights are booked and it is non refunable if you cancel your
surgery.
To pay the balance, most patients take
cash in GBP
Sterling or Euros, but
it is better for UK
patients to change
money into Euros in
Croatia as the fees
are less. Dr
Toncic will take GBP,
Euros or US
Dollars.
Credit/debit
card payments can
be made over the
telephone to our
office by telephoning
01354 610368.
To the total amount
for surgery, must be
added the card
charges, which vary
considerably and the
bank transfer fee.
This is then
transferred to Dr
Toncic's account
before your
surgery.
It is possible to pay
for your surgery in
the UK before
travelling and this is
collected on Dr
Toncic's behalf. You
can send a
cheque
(see
contact
details for
address) made
payable to M&L
Briggs Client
Account, two weeks
before departure for
the total amount of
surgery at the current
exchange rate, plus a
£27 bank transfer fee
to send the funds to
Dr Toncic's bank.

At
Zagreb you
will be met at the
airport by Boris and taken to
your hotel or private
accommodation. Please
ensure you supply your
flight numbers and
times to assist the
driver.
This
is Boris > > >
Specialist
subject, helping patients carry shopping, buying shoes and dresses and
like all good taxi drivers, there when you need him.

Surgery.
Your
surgery is usually the
day after arrival and
you will be collected
from your
accommodation,by Boris and
taken to the
laboratory for your
blood test. If
you are having a
general anaesthetic,
you will then be taken
to the ECG doctor.
You must pay for
these tests
individually, so
ensure you have enough
Euros or Kuna to cover
the cost. You
will then be taken to
the clinic for your
consultation.
If you decide to go
ahead with your
surgery, it will be
carried out and you
may spend one night in
the clinic or return
to your
accommodation.
Length of stay in
Zagreb should be
eight nights.
That is the
night you arrive,
ready for an early
start the following
day. The
stitches (if any) are
then removed the
morning of your
departure.
Hotel
accommodation can
be paid with credit
cards or cash in the
usual way.
Private
accommodation is
paid by cash in Euros
or Kuna. Because
of some dishonest
patients, it has
become necessary to
ask patients to pay on
arrival for their
private
accommodation.
Media interest in
cosmetic surgery.
If after having
surgery you wish to go
public, please let
Linda know. Some
journalists will pay
£1,000 for a good
story, but the average
is about £600.
Linda will put
you on her list of
people willing to talk
to the media and your
contact number will be
given when you fit the
criteria. If you
would like to do this,
or publish your
cosmetic surgery
diary, please let
Linda know.
