If your surgeon
requires tests to be
carried out in the UK
before you travel for
surgery, then you will
need to pay for these privately
Any of the major private hospital
groups will do this for you and will charge you.
You cannot ask
your NHS GP to carry out these tests free of charge, because you are
having private elective surgery. If for any reason you need to consult your GP to see if elective surgery will be dangerous for you, then he
may perform the pre op tests for you, but it is at their discretion.
