What areas can be treated?
SmartLipo can be used to remove fat from any area where pockets of fat can be found. The possibility of treating areas up till now considered as unsuitable for traditional liposuction like the face, forearms, upper part of the abdomen, and knees. We have seen dramatic results in areas clients find hard to rid with exercise and good dieting.

Is the procedure painful?
During the procedure, there is no pain. You will be under local anaesthetics, so will be fully awake during the entire procedure. After the anaesthesia has worn off, it only feels like the aches and pains that follow a vigorous workout.

How long does the treatment take?
The laser part of the treatment takes about 30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. The entire treatment can take up to an hour, which involves anaesthetics and aftercare.
 

What happens to the fat?
The dissolved fat is eliminated naturally by your body once it has been absorbed. It is most commonly lost by perspiration and urinating. The flushing out of the melted fat takes around 4 -6 weeks. Traditional Liposuction the fat was sucked out, leaving loose skin.

Minimal Downtime
As the procedure takes about an hour, a few of our patients even return to work immediately, almost like a "lunchtime Liposuction". Of course we normally advise a day or two of rest.

What ages can be treated?
There is no age restriction but best results are experienced by 18 and over. The level of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle can contribute to your final result.

Local or General anaesthetics?
The entire treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you will be awake through out. Even though you are awake you will feel no pain from the start to the end.

Will there be any bleeding during the procedure?
As the treatment is carried out using a laser, this pulse causes the veins to become sealed. This almost eliminates any bleeding.

How quickly will I see results?
As the body eliminates the melted fat, you will see gradual changes on weekly basics. The final result usually takes around 4 months, but again this all depends on the level of activity and eating healthy.
Skin contracts with the healing-tissues replacing the melted fats. It would be very hard to find the insertion points or tell by looking at the skin that any liposuction has ever been done.

Does SmartLipo produce lasting results?
Yes! Adults do not create new fat cells. When a person gains weight, the fat cells expand. The SmartLipo procedure permanently removes the fat cells. Should you gain weight, most fat will be deposited in areas where the procedure was not performed.
